Planning and longing for an exotic vacation?

From ancient ruins, verdant landscapes, scenic beaches, lush rainforests, and diving options get spoilt with choices on your Southeast Asian vacation.

It took thousands of artisans nearly a hundred years to build the extraordinary Borobudur Temple. It’s no wonder this pyramid-shaped site on the island of Java in Indonesia is the largest Buddhist temple in the world! This ninth-century Mahayana Buddhist temple is a must-see attraction with its relief panels and Buddha statues.

Experience the daily tradition of giving alms to the Buddhist monks of Luang Prabang in Laos. Wake up early in the morning to witness the streets of the old City filled with hundreds of saffron-clad monks.

Covering a vast area of 36 square km, the royal city of Bagan in Myanmar is home to thousands of pagodas, temples, and ruins.  Take a balloon ride over the landscape, and enjoy the breathtaking panorama of this incredible UNESCO World Heritage site in Southeast Asia.

Conclusion: With its collection of unique but equally captivating countries, home to stunning and contrasting landscapes, and abundant historic sites, Southeast Asia is justifiably one of the world’s favourite travel destinations.

    Universal Studios, Singapore

Singapore has earned a reputation for being a dazzling metropolis that delights travellers with iconic landmarks like the majestic Marina Bay Sands, the resplendent Gardens by the Bay, and the bustling Orchard Road. Fuel the fun experience of the Singapore Trip as you visit the Universal Studios, located on the Resorts World Sentosa. It is Southeast Asia’s first and only theme park featuring thrilling rides, shows, and attractions based on popular films and TV shows. With twenty-four distinct rides, spread across 49 acres, and attractions across the park’s six zones, the adventure never ends at Universal Studios Singapore. From thrilling roller coasters that zoom through reality-bending animations, live-action shows with popular animated characters, and dance parties held every evening to kid-friendly carousels, Universal Studios promises to be an exciting getaway for the entire family.

     The Bali Swing, Bali

Bali is an enchanting island in Indonesia, a tropical paradise famed for its stunning landscapes, vibrant culture, and warm hospitality. Visiting the rice terraces, relaxing on its pristine beaches, and learning more about the Balinese culture by visiting ornate temples are the highlights of the Bali Packages. The Bali Swing is the most popular attraction on the island, as it offers an adrenaline-fueled experience and captivating views of the surrounding jungle. Located in the village of Ubud, the Bali Swing is a giant swing that allows visitors to soar high above the treetops and soak in the natural beauty and stunning views. The swing itself is made of sturdy ropes and hangs from a tall bamboo structure, offering a thrilling ride that will leave you feeling exhilarated. It is important to note that safety measures are taken seriously, with staff carefully monitoring the swings and ensuring that riders are securely fastened before take-off.

     Grand Palace, Bangkok

If there is one must-see attraction when visiting Bangkok, it is the majestic Grand Palace. It was once the official residence of the kings of Thailand since 1782. The king, his court, and his royal government were based on the palace’s grounds until 1925. The Grand Palace complex has several impressive buildings including Wat Phra Kaew ( Temple of the Emerald Buddha) which houses the small but greatly revered Emerald Buddha that dates back to the 14th century. The robes of the Buddha are changed with seasons by the King of Thailand. The reclining Buddha ( Wat Pho) is located seven hundred meters south of the Grand Palace. It is a world-renowned 46 m-long gold-plated reclining Buddha. The pose refers to the pose of a sleeping lion presenting entry into complete spiritual enlightenment and ending all worldly reincarnations and desires. History states Wat Pho was intended to serve as a place of education for the general public. Pictorial encyclopaedia plaques were inscribed with text and illustrations were carved on granite stone slabs outlining eight subjects.

     Full Moon Party, Thailand

Travellers from all over the world flock to the beaches of Koh Phangan in Thailand to celebrate the full moon with a blast. Every party-goer knows that Koh Phangan is associated with Full Moon Parties, a signature event that takes place every month on Haad Rin Beach. Koh Phangan lies in the Gulf of Thailand, just north of the popular tourist destination of Koh Samui. Haad Rin Beach is a beautiful beach with white sand, clear waters, and palm trees. As the sun sets, the beach transforms into a party scene, with fire dancers, booming music, and neon lights. The part kickstarts in the evening and goes all night long, with people dancing, drinking, and having fun. Food stalls, bars, and vendors sell everything from souvenirs to neon body paint. What sets the Full Moon Party apart is the diverse mix of people it attracts. Travellers from around the globe come together to enjoy and create unforgettable memories.

    Angkor Wat, Cambodia

Angkor, in Cambodia’s northern province of Siem Reap, is one of the most important archaeological sites in Southeast Asia. It covers an area of 400 square km and includes temples, communication routes, and hydraulic structures like basins, dykes, reservoirs, and canals. Angkor Wat is the largest religious building in the world and the perfect blend of symmetry and symbolism. Nearly every inch of this immense complex is covered with intricate carvings and motifs. It was built by Suryavaram II in 1113-50 and happens to be an earthly representation of Mount Meru, the Mount Olympus of the Hindu faith, and the abode of ancient gods. Its five towers are intended to recreate the five peaks of Mount Meru. While the walls and moat below honour the surrounding mountain ranges and the sea. The walls of the temple are adorned with thousands of bas-reliefs representing important deities and figures in the Hindu and Buddhist religions along with events in narrative tradition. Many arrive early to capture images of the sunrise over this magical and spiritual place.

    Penang, Malaysia

Penang is an exotic holiday destination with no dearth of cultural sights and natural scenery. The perfect blend of British colonial architecture and pristine sandy beaches attract visitors to this island located off the northwest coast of Malaysia. Penang consists of two main parts. One is Penang Island, which includes the city’s capital George Town and the other is Seberang Perai. Penang has been dubbed “The Pearl of the Orient “ as well as “The Silicon Valley of the East”. The population here is heterogeneous and as a result, a great many languages are spoken here. Batu Ferringhi is a resort town located near George Town on Penang Island. It is a prime beach destination because of Miami Beach and is wrapped with thrilling water sports like sailing, parasailing, jet skiing, and banana boating. Another key characteristic of Batu Ferringhi is the night market called Pasar Malam. These markets offer a myriad of options to shop from ranging from food to handicrafts to clothes.

Conclusion: Southeast Asia has become one of the must-see areas of the world for backpackers, globetrotters, or independent holidaymakers. Its diverse landscape, climate, and numerous attractions make it difficult to select an itinerary and explore this fascinating part of the world.
