Unfortunately, there is no direct ferry service from Seattle to Anchorage, Alaska. However, you can take a ferry from Bellingham, Washington, to Whittier, Alaska, which is the closest ferry port to Anchorage.

The ferry service is operated by the Alaska Marine Highway System, and the journey takes approximately 58 hours. From Whittier, you can drive or take a shuttle to Anchorage, which is about 60 miles away.

It is important to note that ferry schedules and routes may change, so it is best to check the Ferry Traveller website for up-to-date information and book tickets in advance.

In Anchorage, there are many things to see and do, including:

    • Alaska Native Heritage Center: This cultural center provides a unique look into Alaska’s Native cultures and traditions.

    • Anchorage Museum: The Anchorage Museum features exhibits on Alaska’s history, art, and science, as well as a planetarium and an extensive collection of Alaskan Native art.

    • Chugach State Park: This park is located just outside Anchorage and offers incredible views of the Chugach Mountains, as well as hiking, biking, and skiing trails.

    • Tony Knowles Coastal Trail: This 11-mile trail runs along the coast of Anchorage and provides breathtaking views of the ocean, mountains, and city.

    • Alaska Wildlife Conservation Center: This wildlife center allows visitors to see and learn about Alaska’s native animals, including bears, moose, caribou, and wolves.

    • Anchorage Market and Festival: This open-air market, held on weekends during the summer months, features local food, art, and crafts.

These are just a few of the many things you can see and do in Anchorage.

High-speed passenger ferry from Seattle to Victoria

The Victoria Clipper is a high speed passenger ferry from Seattle to Victoria, Washington and Victoria, British Columbia. The trip takes approximately 2.5 to 3 hours each way, depending on weather and sea conditions.

The Ferry Traveller offers several ferries a day, with additional ferries at the height of the season. The ferry departs from Pier 69 in Seattle and arrives at Inner Harbor in Victoria, which is located in the city centre.

In addition to the high-speed passenger ferry service, The Ferry Traveller also offers packages that include accommodations, sightseeing tours, and other activities in Victoria.

It is a good idea to book ferry tickets in advance, especially during the High travel season. You can do this on the Ferry Traveller website or by calling their booking line.

There are several options for where to stay in Victoria, depending on your preferences and budget. Here are a few suggestions:

    • Downtown Victoria: If you want to be in the heart of the city, downtown Victoria is a great option. There are plenty of hotels, restaurants, and shops within walking distance, as well as attractions like the Royal BC Museum and the Inner Harbour.

    • James Bay: This neighborhood is located just south of downtown and offers a quieter, more residential feel. There are several bed and breakfasts in the area, as well as some small hotels and vacation rentals.

    • Langford: Located about 20 minutes west of Victoria, Langford is a good option if you’re looking for more affordable accommodations. There are several hotels and vacation rentals in the area, as well as shopping and dining options.

These are just a few suggestions – there are many other neighborhoods and towns on Vancouver Island that offer great accommodations and attractions. It’s a good idea to do some research and book your accommodations in advance, especially during High travel season.
